ISMAR 2011 provides student volunteer opportunity for students from around the world to meet top researchers in Mixed and Augmented Reality and actively participate in the conference organization. Students volunteer 20 hours of their time to assist the conference run smoothly. In return for their assistance, student volunteers receive:

  1. Free conference registration
  2. Special T-Shirt and
  3. Lodging support.
Student volunteer activities include setting up the conference venue, helping with on-site registration, assisting with audio/video during conference sessions, and helping conference attendees. There will also be some more specific tasks related to setting up the tracking competition and editing video footage of the conference. Student volunteers may need to arrive one day earlier to get oriented with the environment, the organizing committee and the resources within the conference area as well as to help with the pre-conference setup.

Please note that Student Volunteers are responsible for their own housing (with partial support from the conference), and travel expenses to and from the conference site in Basel, Switzerland.
